Sounds From The Past (Sole Survivor)Hancock was tough, had to grow up that way or you were deathclaw meat of the plaything of a Super Mutant. Sure, he could be downright cruel, even to those he respected and cared for, but he also knew when not to be. Right now, was one of those times. It had been a routine scavenge session, John Hancock fighting good-naturedly with Nick Valentine while Dogmeat scouted on ahead with the Sole Survivor, who grinned when the building she had picked out was completely empty.
“Free pickings boys!” She crowed, pulling out drawers and rummaging through desks with an excited grin. Her companions were less thrilled, Nick Valentine smoking a cig while watching the vault dweller with an amused look on his face. Hancock found a stash of chems and set about ‘testing’ them immediately, racked out on some chair near when looked like a light switch.
“Hey Sole, this outta help.” He grinned, flipping the switch in the somewhat dark room they had found thei
Dying (Nick Valentine x Hancock)The world was dying.
Deep down everyone knew this day was coming, even as they foolishly believed they had beaten the radiation and were bringing back life to the destroyed world and would maybe one day rebuild civilization. It started with the Glowing Sea slowly inching to cover more and more ground, not just in Boston but all over the world, the radiation killing all in its path as it began to relentlessly advance upon settlements and communities. Rad-Away became less effective and people began to die when it no longer worked as it had in the past, the bodies starting to pile up as the radiation moved further and further along its path of destruction. Diamond City became nothing but mass grave as its citizens held out hope that the radiation would never reach them, foolishly thinking if the Rad-Away was flowing everyone would be just fine. The suicides began when those who could see how the world was going to shit realized they would die anyways, and to avoid the long and drawn out s
Young and Curious (Hancock w/) (Fallout 4) (1)John Hancock was obsessed with finding Pre-War things. He could never understand why, but he remembered the first pre-war object he found and didn’t stop asking around until he had been told what it was.
It was a set of car keys.
Now he wasn’t sure what a car did back before the War and everything rusted or was destroyed, but John cherished the keys he had found far from the safety of Diamond City and its Wall. He examined the slightly rusted metal and Nuka-Cola keyring with a small J.S scratched into the metal several times a day, distinct if it were set next to others of the exact same design. He never let the keys from his sight, something he was teased for but John never cared about what they thought and started to leave night after night to search for more pre-war things. By the time he turned fifteen John had amassed a collection so large Diamond City security had given him an old storage room on the far side of the Wall to use, and the teen was quite pleased as his p
Maybe... (Nick Valentine x Hancock) (Fallout 4)Nick lit his fifth cigarette in a row, taking in a deep breath and releasing the smoke into the night air with a slow and practiced breath out. It was quiet save for the occasional sound of someone turning on a rusty bedframe or an animal in the far horizon doing whatever it deemed necessary at the moment. Not that the synth particularly cared, his attention more focused on the figure lying beside him on a patched up mattress that had definitely seen better days, but then again was relatively unharmed over 200 years’ worth of fallout radiation. The synth could remember the first time he met the figure asleep beside him, a smile tugging at his lips as he recalled the memory from his files he kept close for easy access.
Valentine was still getting used to the whole stint as a detective, and was tasked with finding a runaway daughter who had a thrilling night with a caravan trader the night before and had vanished.
Typical stupid teenager, but then again most teens were.
Uncertain Changes (Jack Cabot x Edward Deegan) (1)Edward shook his head in slight amusement as he watched his employer rush around back and forth in his lab, mixing this and that while writing down illegible notes that would undoubtedly be lost for a few weeks in the mess of a desk he never seemed to clean. If there was one thing over the hundreds of years he had known Jack, it was the man turned into a complete wreck when he started to work, and there was not one thing he could do to try and stop him, so he often settled in for the ride and watched him work.
Not to mention catching sight of that fantastic ass whenever Jack bent down for one reason or another, just teasing the ghoul every single time.
Jack was lanky like many scientists he had known in the past before the world decided to jump off the deep-end, and his height was just a foot short of Edward’s own, making it way too easy to lift the man up and onto any piece of furniture they decided to use for “naughty time” as Jack’s mother liked to say disdai
